Program (WEDP)
The Women Entrepreneurship
Development Program (WEDP) is one of the substantial programs of TARANGO.
This program aims at building up the competency among rural disadvantaged
women in starting and managing their own small business to earn additional
income.
In co-operation with GTZ
(German Technical Cooperation) TARANGO developed an Entrepreneurship Development
Program for non-literate Entrepreneurs. The training is based on the CEFE
approach and is highly adapted and tailored the Bangladesh environment.
CEFE (Competency-based Economies through Formation of Enterprise) for non-literate
Entrepreneurs is an experiential learning model.
TARANGO’s WEDP has proved
to be very successful. Many women have now found anew income source by
starting and running their own business.

CEFE Method of WEDP
WEDP works with the highly
efficient CEFE method to train Entrepreneurs. CEFE means “Competency-based
Economies through Formation of Enterprises”. CEFE is an experiential and
action learning method. Entrepreneurs learn by doing and experiencing.
